Meet The Founder
My name is Rita Rebetskaya. I am a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer and artistic director of Spoon of Sugar Dance Studio.
After a 15 - year career as a soloist with Igor Moiseyev Ballet, I now teach in Professional Division of Alberta Ballet School in Calgary, bringing world class expertise to my students.

Pre - Ballet
3-5 years
The class focuses on rhythm, muscle strength, and coordination, building a strong foundation through playful and engaging movement.
Gymnastics
5-9 years
The class develops strength, coordination and flexibility as we learn to do rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and jump rope in a fun and supportive environment.
Intensive group
8-12 years
Our intensive group trains twice a week for 75 minutes, focusing on ballet and contemporary dance. This high-level program is for dedicated dancers looking to advance their skills and techniques.
Ballet
6-8 years
Activities include learning basic ballet positions, practicing ballet exercises and movements, and exploring creative expression through dance.
Jazz Dance
5-7 years
8-12 years
In class we learn various dance techniques, practicing choreographed routines, and engaging in rhythmic exercises to develop their dance skills and performance abilities.

Seasonal classes
7+
Our seasonal classes offer a diverse range of programs, from acting and musical theatre to sewing, all led by some of the best teachers in the city.
Dance recital on a professional stage
During the academic season (from September to May), we organize two performances with our students for the audience. The final annual concert takes place on a professional theater stage.
Performing on stage allows kids to develop:

Classes take place in a well-equipped studio located in the Ramsay SE, with ample and always accessible free parking.
The cost of one class starts from 20 CAD
Yes, we offer discounts for participating in multiple classes, as well as for the second and third child. Please contact us to discuss the specific discounts available for your situation.Number of spots in groups is limited.
